Having been given a Triang Hornby train set for Christmas somewhere around 1970, it proved to be so unreliable my father took it back to the toy shop, got his money back and then gave me his old Hornby Dublo 3-Rail LMS goods set he had as a young boy.

From that point I was hooked and have always retained an interest in these fine models.
